Level 2 apprentices will typically undertake a range of routine tasks in different working environments. This framework is designed to meet the skills needs of employers by attracting new talent into a career in business and administration and help to up-skill the workforce to replace those who leave or retire.
Specification Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF)
Learners working, or looking to work, in a wide range of roles in business administration wishing to develop knowledge, understanding and competence of working relevant to business administration work roles. This qualification forms part of the Intermediate Business Administration apprenticeship.

Specification Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF)
Learners working in a wide variety of business administrative roles such as: administration executives/officers, administration team leaders, personal assistants and secretaries, including legal or medical secretaries. This qualification forms part of the higher level apprenticeship in business administration.
Specification Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration (QCF)
Learners who work in a variety of senior business administration roles and wish to develop administration skills, customer handling skills, technical and practical skills, and oral communication skills when working in the administrative management environment.
Specification Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF)
Learners who work in a wide range of senior business administration roles and wish to develop the knowledge and underpinning principles required to manage complex administrative processes and lead administration teams. Other areas covered by the qualification include customer handling, communication and strategic planning.
