Childcare Level 2

Apprentices studying for this Apprenticeship would ordinarily be working under supervision within a childcare learning and development setting.

Specification Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce (QCF)

Learners looking to work caring for children and young people and gain skills and knowledge in areas such as supporting development, safeguarding and communicating. Optional units allow for a range of specialisms to be studied. This qualification forms part of the intermediate apprenticeship for the Children's and Young People's Workforce.

Specification Level 2 Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health, Social Care Children and Young People's Settings (QCF)

Learners wishing to develop knowledge and understanding of the statutory responsibilities and rights of employees and employers within own area of work agreed ways of working that protect own relationship with employer, how own role fits within the wider context of the sector, career pathways available within own and related sectors

Childcare Level 3 - Children and Young People's Social Care pathway

This apprenticeship is suitable for those who work on their own initiative, planning and organising their own work and/or supervising others. Some typical jobs roles that the apprenticeship framework can assist with are Residential Care Worker and Short Break Carer. These could be within a variety of settings including day care, primary care and schools.

Specification Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (QCF)

The qualification is relevant to a wide range of job roles in early years and social care settings. This qualification forms part of the higher level Children and Young People's Workforce apprenticeship.
