TQUK was approved to deliver end-point assessment of apprenticeships by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) in April, 2017. We work with training providers and employers to provide the best possible assessment on the market at a competitive price.

Since our approval, we have created a brand new website completely dedicated to our EPA services and worked to grow the list of apprenticeship standards for which we have been cleared to deliver end-point assessment. See all our approved standards below.

Our assessors will test your apprentice in all the major knowledge, skills and behaviours. The assessment plan includes a situational judgement test and a professional discussion.

Lead Adult Care Worker

This is the next stage up from the Adult Care Worker standard. Assessment for this standard includes a situational judgement test and a professional discussion, and the apprentice will be judged against all the knowledge, skills and behaviours outline din the apprenticeship standard.

Assessment for this standard will include a multiple choice test, observation of practice, evidence portfolio and assessor interview. The knowledge, skills and behaviours assessed will include communication skills, health intervention skills, personal and people development abilities and more.

Senior Healthcare Support Worker

Apprentices will provide healthcare support while leading a team. Knowledge, skills and behaviours learned will include health and wellbeing practices and management skills. Assessment will include a multiple choice test, an observation of practice, review of a learning journal and an assessor interview.

Assessment activities will include an on demand test, a practical observation, a culinary challenge observation and a professional discussion.

Business Administrator apprentices will become invaluable members of any organisation, working across departments and learn the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for the role, including IT, project management and adaptability. Assessment activities include a knowledge test, a portfolio-based interview and a project presentation.

Apprentices will learn all the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed in the service industry, including customer knowledge, product and service knowledge, influencing skills, self development and team working. Team Leader/Supervisor apprentices will learn vital leadership and management abilities, including building relationships, project management, decision making and self awareness. Operations/Departmental Manager

Operations/Departmental Manager apprentices will oversee entire departments and work across organisations, leading people and utilising project management skills. Assessment will include a knowledge test, a competency based interview, review of a portfolio, a work based project with presentation and Q&A and a professional discussion covering CPD.

Hair Professional

Hair Professional Apprentices will learn communication and consultation skills, shampooing and conditioning and how to cut hair, along with hairdressing and barbering skills, depending on the stream chosen. Assessment activities include a observation of practice followed by an oral questioning.

 

TQUK’s EPA approval

TQUK was approved to deliver end-point assessment of apprenticeships by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) in September, 2016. We work with training providers and employers to provide the best possible assessment in the market at a competitive price. TQUK is listed on the Register of End-Point Assessment Organisations.

Since our approval date, the number of apprenticeship standards for which we have been cleared to deliver end-point assessment services has grown – and will only continue to grow.

Adult Care Worker

This role will require apprentices to provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare support while also leading a team. Assessment will include a multiple choice and short answer test, an observation of practice, review of a learning journal and an assessor interview. Areas of knowledge, skill and behaviours will include health and wellbeing, person centred care and support, duty of care and candour, safeguarding and communication. Appropriate assessment activities will also be arranged for the apprentice's chosen specialism.

Hospitality Team Member

Apprentices undertaking this apprenticeship will be assessed against the industry-required knowledge, skills and behaviours, and will include assessment activities based on their chosen specialism. Assessment will include an on-demand test, practical observation, business project and a professional discussion.

Hospitality Supervisor

Apprentices will need to master the knowledge, skills and abilities demanded of the hospitality industry while also leading a team. Assessment activities will an on demand test, practical observation, business project and a professional discussion.

Commis Chef

Apprentices will learn all the ins and outs of the kitchen and catering industry, including culinary skills, food safety practices, people skills and business understanding. Assessment activities will include an on demand test, a practical observation, a culinary challenge observation and a professional discussion.

Business Administrator

Assessment activities include an apprentice showcase, practical observation and a professional discussion.

Team Leader/Supervisor

Team Leader/Supervisor apprentices will learn vital leadership and management abilities, including, managing people, building relationships, project management, decision making and self awareness and self-awareness. Assessment activities include a knowledge test, a structured competency based interview, assessment of a portfolio of evidence and a professional discussion relating to CPD activity.

Operations/Departmental Manager

Operations/Departmental Manager apprentices will be able to oversee entire departments and work across organisations, assimilating knowledge, skills and behaviours including operational and project management, finances, leading people, decision making and professionalism. Assessment activities will include a knowledge test, structured competency based interview, an assessment of a portfolio of evidence, a work based project including a presentation with Q&A session and assessment of a CPD log combined with a professional discussion.

Hair Professional

Hair Professional Apprentices will learn all there is to know about working in a hair care context, including communication and consultation skills, shampooing and conditioning, cutting hair, hairdressing skills including perming hair, applying hair extension and hair relaxing treatments and colouring hair and barbering techniques, including treatment of the hair and scalp, cutting facial hair into shape and shaving services. Assessment activities include a observation of practice followed by an oral questioning.
