Changes to our Employability and Safety and Compliance qualifications

This post will take you through all the latest qualification news to ensure that you are kept updated and in the know. This update covers Safety and Compliance and Employability qualifications. 

Safety and Compliance

TQUK Level 1 Award in Principles of Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)

  • R/504/4040: AC 2.1 has been updated, with the term “Mental Health” replacing “Stress”. This will allow coverage of a broader range of issues that could be encountered in the workplace. 

TQUK Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment (RQF)

  • A/502/9726: AC 2.2 has been rewritten to be consistent with other units we have concerning risk assessment. We now want learners to outline the five-step process of risk assessment. Further details regarding the steps involved in risk assessment can be found here

TQUK Level 1 Award in Personal Safety Awareness (RQF)

  • T/617/1910: AC 1.2 has been rewritten to be more accessible for learners. AC 1.2 now reads “Identify key statistics which may contribute to the fear of crime”.

Employability

TQUK Level 1 Award in Job Search and Employment Potential (RQF)

  • F/503/1560: AC 6.2 has been rewritten to use more recognised terms. Learners will now identify strengths and weaknesses following an interview situation. 

TQUK Level 1 Certificate in the Introduction for Digital Skills in Employment (RQF)

  • A/617/5893: We have removed the examples given in AC1.3 to assessment guidance. This change aims to improve consistency with how we produce assessment criteria across our qualifications. AC 4.2 has had a terminology update and now refers to the General Data Protection Regulation. 

  • T/617/5892: We have split the current AC 1.5, “Define cyberbullying, and outline the steps taken to prevent it” into two assessment criteria. This change aims to improve consistency with how we produce assessment criteria across our qualifications.

TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Principles for Digital Skills in Employment (RQF)

  • H/617/5886: AC 2.3 has had a terminology update and now refers to the General Data Protection Regulation. The changes for all the above qualifications will go live on Friday 15th October 2021. Until then, specifications with the changes implemented can be accessed through the title of each qualification.
