TQUK Qualifications Coordinator wins the Novem Super League

When we’re not discussing the latest qualification development or our upcoming appearance at the AELP National Conference, you’ll usually hear nonstop football talk in our office.

Being a business based just a stone’s throw from Old Trafford, you can only imagine the football debates amongst our team.

However, one of those discussions has been about something a little different from the Champion’s League…

Our very own Qualifications Coordinator, Ryan Wimbles, won the Novem Super League!

What’s the Novem Super League you ask?

The league is some Fantasy Football fun that our friends over at Novem started back in August. The game saw Novem staff and clients creating their own teams and battling it out to see who would win.

The winner (Ryan!!!) received a trophy, an Amazon gift card, and some goodies from Novem.

Ryan said, “a massive thank you to Novem for setting up and running a league. It went down a treat at Training Qualifications UK and it was a pleasure to be a part of this. I look forward to defending the crown, should Novem run one again next year!”

As well as the league, all participants were entered in the knockout tournament towards the end of the season.

“The cup competition was my main goal going into the last day, and although the last team was not active, I made all the transfers necessary to avoid getting beat by them.”

What makes it even better is that Novem matched the winnings with an equivalent donation to a charity of Ryan’s choice. While originally it was to one charity, Ryan decided to split the winnings between the following two charities…

MIND

Did you know that one in four of us will experience a mental health problem?

MIND is a charity providing advice and support to anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Campaigning to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding, MIND is a charity that believes no one should have to face a mental health problem alone.

Electrical Industries Charity

Electrical Industries Charity supports people from the electrical, electronics and energy industries when they or their families need an extra hand. From financial or legal worries to relationships or disabilities, EIC aims to provide the practical support people need to get back on their feet.

We want to congratulate Ryan for winning and everyone who took part!

Let’s see if Ryan can defend his crown in the next league…
