Unlocking the Power of Multi-Channel Marketing

At Training Qualifications UK (TQUK), we’re excited to introduce the new TQUK Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer (MCM) End-Point Assessment (EPA).

Our team has been hard at work developing an offering that not only supports apprentices during their EPA but also provides valuable resources across their on-programme stage.

Understanding multi-channel marketing

When it comes to marketing, the opportunities are endless, especially with the various routes, roles and specialisms available within individual organisations. 

The MCM standard embraces the dynamic side of marketing and teaches apprentices how to use multiple channels to reach and engage with customers effectively.  

These channels include online platforms such as:  

  • websites  

  • social media  

  • email marketing  

  • search engine advertising.  

And offline channels such as:  

  • print media  

  • television  

  • radio  

  • direct mail.  

As you can see, the variety that comes with multi-channel marketing is essential for modern marketers. It allows them to develop a more impactful approach to delivering personalised and targeted campaigns, opening the door to greater creativity, innovation and customer acquisition. 

The difference between the Multi-Channel Marketer and Digital Marketer standards

The MCM standard is an aspiring marketer’s secret weapon, with its forward-thinking and diverse programme mirroring the constantly evolving marketing sector. 

Not only does the standard prepare apprentices to be versatile, dynamic marketing professionals, it also covers a broader spectrum of skills required to support the end-to-end delivery of marketing campaigns. 

Marketing can be found in a variety of industries, which are also constantly changing and adapting to consumers' evolving demands. The MCM standard effectively reflects this, especially with its data-driven approach.  

Whilst the Digital Marketer standard contained a data analysis component, the MCM standard intertwines it throughout, giving apprentices a distinct advantage since marketers need to understand and read data to build and drive campaigns. 

However, the most significant differences between the DM and MCM standards are in the EPA, which are designed to be even more effective in determining the apprentice’s competence and quality of knowledge.  

These assessment methods include workplace projects, interviews and presentations, which have replaced the DM EPA’s synoptic project.

On-programme and EPA resources

Here at TQUK, we like to think outside the box and do things a little differently. That’s why we have developed materials that support apprentices throughout every stage of their MCM apprenticeship and not just their EPA. 

This means that apprentices can receive an extra boost to help maximise their learning and ensure their journey is as seamless as possible. 

In addition to on-programme resources, apprentices will receive a wide range of EPA materials that are also available to their training providers and employers. This helps all parties prepare for the final assessment and gives the apprentice the tools they need to complete their EPA with confidence and clarity!

How does the MCM standard with TQUK benefit our customers?

When it comes to EPA, there’s nothing worse than unnecessary delays and long-winded processes, which is why we have devised some handy ways to save training providers and their apprentices heaps of time! 

When working with us, the MCM EPA will take place over four months rather than the typical five months offered by alternative End-Point Assessment Organisations.  

That’s right, a whole month is given back to our customers! This means that apprentices can kick-start their marketing careers faster than ever before. 

That’s not all! If training providers move from the DM standard to the MCM standard, they won’t need to go through the trouble of building on-programme resources, as we’ve skipped ahead and already developed them.  

By pre-developing an apprentice portfolio, we’ve also removed the need for mapping and tracking, as each task has already been clearly documented. 

It may sound too good to be true, but that’s just the way we work!
